Wednesday 6 October

Visit to the Open Air Museum in Sorgenfri and the Museum for industrial culture in Brede (Brede Works)

Note that this plan may be revised. Changes will be announced on the course and will also be posted here.

09:00 Meet at Østerport Station. S-train line B to Jægersborg, then local train (Nærumbanen) to Brede station (arrive 09:35). You may also travel your own route to Brede, Here is the timetable.

10:00 Visit the open air museum, Fjellerup Østergård and the site for the new 'Museum for Agriculture' . Walk through the open air Museum. Coffee in the park.

11:30 Group A: Visit to Brede Manor. Climate control in a historic building, to heat or dehumidify? Group B in Brede Works

12:30 Group A: Visit to Brede Works. Over heating due to solar radiation and exhibition lighting. The use of LED-light for exhibition. Group B in Brede Manor.

13:30 Lunch at the Conservation Department in Brede.

14:30 Brede Cinema. The use of LED for museum exhibition. Is LED a good substitute. (Carsten Dam-Hansen, senior researcher at the Technical University of Denmark, Section for Photonics)

15:30 Brede Works.

17:00 Train from Brede to Jægersborg, and S-train from Jægersborg to Østerport
